Tradutech sessions are technical translation projects in a simulated professional context. During these one-week intensive sessions, students work in team and can be:
- Agency Manager
- Project Manager
- Terminology Manager
- Translator
All the stages of a translation project are set up, from the customer request to the delivering of the project, including resources management, production, quality control and exchanges with the customer.
Tradutech sessions are part of the OTCT (Optimising Translator Training through Collaborative Technical Translation) European project. The aim is to enhance the integration of professionally-oriented practices in translator training curriculum, to increase the students employability and to strengthen the relationship between the different European universities.
Students and teachers from 7 European universities that are part of the EMT network participate in this project. During the project, the different universities act as subcontractors.
