We offer cultural events during all the semester: theatre plays, opera, concerts, football games, exhibitions, typical Breton events (Fest-noz), etc.
Thanks to our cultural and local partners, our students benefit from preferential tariff.

Each semester we organise intercultural meetings: a unique opportunity to meet and share with French students from Rennes 2.

 

Intercultural evenings

Meet local students in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere!

Each semester, you can discover mythical regional places such as: Mont St Michel, St-Malo, Loire valley castles, Morbihan Gulf, Brocéliande forest… and many more

Workshops are open to every student, no matter their language level. CIREFE will issue a course certificate at the end of the semester. The first and second meetings are open. Registration takes place at the 3rd meeting.

Information COVID-19 : due to sanitary context, there will be no workshops from october to december 2020

Theatre workshop

This workshop is organized around a series of preparatory exercises, followed by voice work and the staging of selected texts. Physical work, space work, contact, improvisation and language play are all part of this workshop, which require the actively engagement of all students.

Radio workshop

This workshop offers to the student the opportunity to realize columns, interviews, vox pops and to take care of the technical aspects of a radio programme.

Journalism workshop

This workshop aims to the realization and publication of a CIREFE newspaper. This publication will report on CIREFE activities and general campus life through articles, surveys, portraits, interviews. It is also a place for open expression: favourite books or movies, humorous or serious essays, like in France through the eyes of a foreigner, reports on the practice of other cultures… Every student will commit to write one article on the subject she/he wants. Drawers are also welcome.

Cinema workshop

For those who love cinema and want to be on the other end of the camera, this workshop provides an introduction to the language of cinema and the opportunity to create a short film (scriptwriting, filming, editing). Films may be presented at the end of the semester.

Every Wednesday evening from 6.15pm to 8.15pm in the room B009

 

Vocal workshop

The purpose of this workshop is to learn to sing in order to express yourself, develop your voice, build self-confidence and develop good intonation. Students undergo physical preparation and breathe training and work on sound articulation. The workshop also provides an overview of the French repertoire.
A performance is given at the end of the semester.

Music workshop

Preparation of a few musical selections (French chanson, jazz, possibly variety music), some of which will be performed at the end of the semester. Opportunity for group work and improvisation.
Perquisite: must be able to read music or follow easily by ear.

End-of-year celebratrion

   

At the end of each semester, a celebration is organized in the Tambour auditorium which is located on the campus of Rennes 2. The first part of the evening is dedicated to the performance on stage of the main workshop productions and the second part of the evening is an outing to a discotheque for all the students and teachers.
