International Classes

New for 2026-2027

The International Classes at the University of Rennes 2 offer international students who speak other languages a year of language and academic preparation before entering a Bachelor’s degree programme.

At CIREFE, students will take approximately 500 hours of French as a foreign language courses to achieve level B2 in French language and culture. In the departments, they will take 150 hours of academic courses in French and English (literature, history, arts, etc.). This programme is only open to candidates who have a qualification equivalent to the French baccalaureate, are motivated to attend a French university and have achieved level A2.
